He Still Walks the Lakeside

He walked the edge
Of earth’s time
Of the seas’ shores

He called the men
One by one
“Come fish with Me”

They left their nets
No regrets
To follow Him

He walks the edge
Time’s lake shore
Still...calling...

...you and me.

“Come along with me and I will show you
how to fish for the souls of men!”
(Matt. 4:19 TLB)

Walking that lakeside, smelling the waves, seeing the fishing boats he moved and worked and called right there in the middle of life.

  11. You mean you're a poetress, too? This was gorgeous.

Sometimes I feel caught up in my nets. Love the image of being free of them. I could follow Jesus much better without them.

  16. Simply Beautiful! Poetry always gets directly to the heart of the matter! That He walks on the edge, calling to the lost - so the lost can be saved!!! We so have to get out of our comfort zone to reach the lost, just like He did!
