FOLLOWING GOD'S COMPASS AS IT POINTS TO THE RIGHT PATH HOME— "Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note
of the highway, the road that you take."
(Jeremiah 31:21 NIV)
Ha! Good question. I wonder, if one hardens their heart will they even know it's hardened? All the more reason to abide with the Master on a moment by moment basis!! Thanks Lynn.
Good reminder that we should be anticipating whispers from God on a consistent basis - and then, like Samuel, we should say, "Speak Lord, for your servant hears."
So glad that you joined us today. I honestly feel that right now, as I hear His voice, it's about putting one foot in front of the other. Going step by step and trying to find joy in each one.
Great question Lynn! I like to keep a good supply of spiritual Q-tips close by to remove that old nasty wax (distractions, pride, work, home, etc.) which keeps me from hearing from my Heavenly Father. I don't like it when He has to yell at me... I'd much rather stay close so He can gently whisper into my ear :)
Hey, dear Stephanie! Oh, my, yes! Stilling those inner rushing waters of chaos is so difficult sometimes but such practice is so necessary to hear those whispers. Blessings to you! :D
Jen, you are so right. Without those inner nudges, our feet tangle themselves together. No sure footing. Thank you so much for visiting. So glad I found your blog. Blessings!
Great thought. When I think I hear God speaking, I try to quiet myself. I find my biggest struggle is that God doesn't speak but that I don't listen. I'm too hard headed! :)
Through many hardships, trials, and health issues, I have learned to depend entirely on the Lord for everything. After being diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2000, the Lord whispered to my heart to write for Him. So, now, out of a great passion to reach others, I obey His call.
Good thought, and cleverly done.
Since I've hear His voice, everyday, I answer: Speak Lord, your servant is listening - at least trying to....
Great graphics! And very good question to ponder - everyday.

Servants obey. Bondservants lovingly obey. :-)
